Happy New Year!!!

Image
My last post of 2010. I can't believe how fast the year went! It seems they go faster and faster the older we get. Is that because we are busier? LOL...I sure didn't feel THAT busy this year. What, with completing my Master's degree (struggling almost the entire year writing my thesis and feeling like it would never come to an end), two trips to Michigan (one with my sister and the other with my dad and cat), and delivering hundreds of floral arrangements it seems like there is still so much more to accomplish. Alas, time has run short for 2010. I did manage to finish stitching 30-some projects this year. Amazingly, a few were quite large! I managed to accomplish over 200 posts to this here blog, whew! And I even participated in some interesting SAL's/Swaps. The only thing left to do is watch the ball drop tonight at midnight ~ and about a zillion other things I wanted to do but didn't, LOL!!! Tomorrow begins a new year and a new challenge! The Crazy Challenge

“In Stitches”

Well, I finally made that journey to Jackson, MI where In Stitches is located! It was so nice to walk into a stitching store with soooo many goodies!!! I could have stayed all day long, but alas Mom and I were there only about an hour. I walked out the door with over $160.00 worth of stash, paid for partly by me and partly by mom (it was part of my Christmas from her). Thanks MOM!!! OK, onto some pics from that journey: Inside In Stitches VIEW SLIDE SHOW DOWNLOAD ALL

Made it to Michigan Safely!

Ariel was so excited to open her gifts last night. She had been waiting ALL day. When we were a couple of hours away, my mom called and asked if we could open gifts last night when we got in because Ariel wanted to. So, that's what we did! My grandma used to make afghans until her arthritis got real bad. This is one that she sent with us to give Ariel: And these are the goodies that I received for Christmas: L-R: A frog bookend, 2 packs of DMC floss (variegated and light effects), an MSU hot/cold tumbler w/ lid, 1 pack of Embroidery Needles (sizes 1,3,5), 2 packs 14ct White Aida cloth, and a cute little metal frog made from nuts, screws, bolts, etc! Here is a closer look at the metal frog: Metal frog playin' the sax! He's made from nuts, bolts, screws, etc. If you want to see some of the pictures from my travels north, click here . I hope everyone had a Very Merry Christmas! More to come later in the week.
