A Cra-a-a-azy Finish!

Image
I finally finished another piece from the Crazy Challenge! I haven’t felt much like stitching lately, but I decided to force myself to stitch on something this weekend. May I present Try to Relax: I plan to frame this piece and I may wind up giving it to a friend of mine. It’s cute, but I must admit that I am not fond of the stem stitches. My first attempt at those. Time will tell and maybe trying them in other projects, lol!

Saturday Afternoon Catnap!

Image
Yup, Sandy and Abu spent part of the afternoon napping together yesterday! When I saw them laying like this I couldn't resist getting some pictures. If you look closely, you can kinda see where the scar is from Sandy's big surgery. She's recovering well, playing with Abu, and being a typical cat again. Now, if only her voice would come back to where it was before all of this mess, lol!

Here a Lizard, There a Lizard

Everywhere a lizard, lizard! Couldn’t resist putting it that way! LOL While out on deliveries last Friday, I found myself with some time to kill waiting for an office to reopen after their lunch hour. Since I was in one of our extremities, I called the shop to let them know that I was going to kill some time so I didn’t have to make the drive back to ZHills and then back to the WC. That was fine with them. So, I delivered the piece I planned to save for last, got myself some lunch, then went back to the office to wait for them to open. While there, I noticed some baby lizards playing in the tree I parked next to. Thank goodness I had my camera with me: Lizards VIEW SLIDE SHOW DOWNLOAD ALL

Lost it…

My stitching mojo that is! Haven’t felt like stitching. Have tried to put some stitches into Washington Monument . Not very successful. Definitely not enough to share, lol! Anyhoo, I decided to give it up until the 1st of the month. For now, I am just playing stupid Facebook games, watching stupid TV shows (well, except for Big Brother – It’s AWESOME! – and the only reality show I do watch), and trying to get caught up in my Janet Evanovich reading since #18 is due out in November instead of next summer, WOOO HOOOO!! Been kinda busy at work too, covering for vacations. Lost my cool 2 Saturdays ago cause I get sick of getting screwed over on that day every single week. Yeah, I work every Saturday and while we are only open for a couple hours (830-12) it sucks having to stay late for people who can’t seem to call in their orders early enough. So, if you are one of those who waits until the last possible minute to order flowers for your friends or loved ones, keep in mind that the driver

Well, not much really, but he is starting to get a little bit bigger. Abu VIEW SLIDE SHOW DOWNLOAD ALL He’s a stinker this one! But I love him anyway!! The little girl holding him is my cousin’s goddaughter, Carmen. They were down last week Saturday until almost midnight visiting (plan was to stay overnight but wound up having to leave as her sister’s husband got real sick). Anyway, Abu and Carmen had a ball of a time

Try to Relax is almost finished

Image
Just have a little more detail to fill in at this point. I haven’t been too motivated to stitch the past couple nights. It’s been a long boring, yet tiring week at work. Here are some pics of my progress: Hopefully I can get back on track soon! I have so many pieces I want to finish by the end of the year!

Try to Relax

Almost complete! I finally finished the cross stitches. Now I have to finish the detail stitches (i.e. back and stem stitches). Here is where things stand: I plan to fill in the detail this evening. Not sure what I will work on next. Maybe I will finish up Washington’s Monument . Until next time…

A little late ~ Tuesday's Show & Tail

Image
I debated over posting this today and decided what the heck! As some of you may (or may not) know, my Sandy decided to disappear little more than a week ago on a Thursday evening. By Sunday evening, I decided that I was getting a kitten from my grandma's (she has sooo many right now, lol) and put my foot down to my dad. So, Monday, a friend of mine and I went up to granny's and I picked up a kitten. Wouldn't you know it, Tuesday morning, as I was pulling into the carport after an appointment, there was SANDY wanting inside! LOL...No, my dad hasn't made me take the kitten back, and YES, Sandy is adjusting quite well (after a couple days of hissing) to the newest member of the family. She has been mothering him and playing with him. It's wonderful! Hi! My name is Abu! Yes, my momma named me after that monkey from Aladdin . Sandy mothering Abu. More of the same.

…Abu! Yeah, it took a few days, but I finally came up with the perfect purrrr-fect name for new kitty. For those of you Disney fans out there, you may recognize it from the movie Aladdin. Here he is getting some motherly (well, she’s not really his momma) love from Sandy:           I spent much of last night stitching away on Try to Relax. Here’s my progress before stitching: And after last night:     I plan to put a little more work into it this evening as soon as this post is up! Until next time…
