July WIPocalypse Check-In

Image
No pics to share this month as I will not share one until The Gardeners is complete. I have a teeny tiny bit to go so hopefully there will be an update soon!! In the mean time... This month's question for the WIPocaplypse: It’s halfway to Christmas.  Do you start your holiday stitching this early?  If so, what do you hope to accomplish this year? I don't really keep a plan for holiday stitching as I tend to stitch holiday pieces when the mood strikes. That may change when I start to feel more comfortable in my surroundings (I have a few major repairs to make in my living room) and have the room to spread out. For now, I will just keep on keepin' on and try to get The Gardeners and Coming Home for the Holidays finished up this summer.

Let me preface this post by saying that I don't feel bad about being away from this blog so much over the past year. I have finally accepted the fact that I just don't want to keep up with anything right now. Not that I don't want to keep up with you, my readers. I just don't want to do this on a regular basis. I wrote a while back about my depression and the battle I have with it. Well, it's back and with a vengeance. I have found that I am forcing myself to do anything: cross stitch, read, clean the house (and it really needs a deep clean), etc. If I don't force myself, this depression may take me over completely. I REFUSE TO LET THAT HAPPEN! So, with that said, I am so close to completing "The Gardeners". If I can sit with it for the afternoon tomorrow, I should have my FIRST finish of the year, lol! Even though I did some little things (bookmarks and handkerchiefs), I don't really count those. They were quick projects for specific events.
