Mountain Lake and an update
My dad and I took off on a “Sunday drive” through Western Pasco County and Southern Hernando County today. As we were winding our way through Spring Hill and Brooksville, we happened upon a sign that read “Hernando County Boat Ramp”. I didn’t realise there was a lake hidden in all of that scenery, but there was. Here are some pictures of Mountain Lake as seen from the boat ramp area:
When we got home I looked up the crossroads on Google Maps and lo and behold I came up with this:

That lake is huge! I mean, I have seen much, MUCH bigger lakes (being from Michigan and all), but the little bit we were able to see from the boat ramp didn’t do any justice to it. We will have to make our way back up there to really get some views (camera in tow of course)!
And the update…
I don’t have too many entries for my giveaway as of yet. There are only 7 more days to enter. I will take entries until 8pm May 31st and then I will have to draw from what I have. I really don’t want to push the deadline out any further as it is supposed to be a patriotic giveaway. So please, PLEASE enter and/or spread the word. To entice you even more, here are some more goodies I came up with to include in this package:
Keep in mind, I am going on vacation June 2-9. My sister and I are driving to Michigan and I plan to pick up some things along the way. The package will also include goodies from my trip. The only thing I cannot share is the stitched piece as it will be personalized.
For those of you who have said they don’t think they can enter, Yes You Can!!! :D I am not making this a USA Only giveaway as there are Americans living abroad who read my blog. There are also those who read my blog that may have known or now know someone who served in their countries military or in the US military. Just let me know what country and branch of service. If you want to enter and then RAK if you win, that's alright too. Pretty simple, right?!
Well, I am off to finish stitching that special piece so that I can mail it tomorrow or Tuesday with the rest of the stuff I have to post. I am also going to watch Disc 1 and maybe 2 of John Adams (Netflix).
