Package Arrived!

I have been informed that Ann received her giveaway package from me. Here is a picture of what I stitched for her:

I wasn't sure how to finish-finish Quaker Medallions, so when I looked through the tutorial links I thought it would make a cute little pillow. The backing fabric is that green suede-like material that I used on a project for school recently (see http://caliphates.blogspot.com for an image of that project).

Again, congratulations Ann for winning one of these magazines! I hope you get enjoyment out of the designs inside.

Farewell Daddy 3.8.1949 ~ 9.5.2012

Thank you for being my daddy for the last 40 plus years. You were my rock when I needed one. You were my best friend. You are now in our loving Lord’s arms and healed of your pain. Reuniting with long departed loved ones. And Mrs. Beasley too. I will miss the way you play your guitar and sing the songs you enjoy. May WIPocalypse check-in and a Giveaway

Well, it’s almost here! I am almost 40!! Why do I sound so happy about it you might be wondering. Most people get to this age and act as though their world is coming to an end. I choose to look at it in a positive way: I am STILL ALIVE!!! I know HE has a plan for me and my life. I am thankful everyday that I wake up. I am also thankful for my stitchy friends here in bloggy-land. Just because we don’t know one another on a personal level doesn’t mean we don’t know one another, right?!
