Olympic Stitching, anyone?!

Image
I am just curious how many of you are actually watching the Olympics and working on stitching projects. No, I am not taking a poll on this, but I found myself working away over the weekend on The Gardeners and almost have another page finished! I am pleased with it for sure. And I am also enjoying the Olympics. The Summer games are by far my favorite! This is where I was last September when I last stitched on this piece.   Current progress   Speaking of Olympics! I am thinking about creating a design based on this year’s logo. Nothing fancy, but I really like the logo this go around!! Does anyone know if someone has already done this yet??? My grandmother spent the week with us last week. Now, keep in mind that my dad and I live in an old single-wide trailer with 2 bedrooms and 1 completely functional bathroom (mine is partially functional in that I cannot use my bathtub whereas dad’s has a functional shower). It was a bit cramped, but we managed. She’s almost 87 years old and

Vacation ~ Photo Heavy

It's been over for little less than a week now and I wish it would have lasted a little longer. Anyway, I had a good time in Michigan with my family and friends; at least those that I did visit with this trip. I took 2 projects with me in hopes of getting some good progress in on at least one of them. My niece decided she wanted to spend more time with me than I anticipated so I more than willingly cast that hope aside. I did take a handful of pics during my trip. Not nearly as many as I usually take, but some rather nice shots if I do say so myself. Here is a small sampling: Downtown Valdosta, GA Atlanta, GA near Keavey, KY Cincinnati, OH Just corn Ariel Mom and Bro (we were playing UNO) Ariel and Grandpa (my dad) Bro's tacos, YUM me and Amanda Mom, Dad, and Aunt Judy Shelby playing catch with her ball (Aunt's dog) cousin Wayne Wayne's ducks. July WIPocalypse Update

Image
Well, it’s been a more productive month that it has been most of the year! I had a finish and some much needed progress on a couple of pieces. First, Cancer Awareness Ribbons: Next, some progress on Medallions: And finally, progress on Coming Home for the Holidays (my SAL with Lana): I am heading to Michigan at the end of this week for vacation and I plan to take Cirques des Carreaux with me as my only project for the week. Only 4 more pages to go! It would be wonderful to finish it while I am there so that I can give it to my mom to frame and hang in her home. ~~~Until Next Time~~~
