A PIF, A RAK, and etc…

Well, here it is the middle of the last week of May! I had a wonderful birthday weekend and am looking forward to next week when I go to Michigan, with my big sister. It is our first road trip together, EVER! Keep in mind, I am 38 and she is 41. We did not grow up together as we have different mothers. We’re gonna have soooo much fun!

On the stitchy front, I received a beautifully stitched PIF today from Lisa! Thank you so much! I love it!!!

I just love the backing fabric (well, blue is my favorite color, lol)!!

Farewell Daddy 3.8.1949 ~ 9.5.2012

Thank you for being my daddy for the last 40 plus years. You were my rock when I needed one. You were my best friend. You are now in our loving Lord’s arms and healed of your pain. Reuniting with long departed loved ones. And Mrs. Beasley too. I will miss the way you play your guitar and sing the songs you enjoy. I will miss our drives together finding new places to see and explore. I will miss you, daddy, the rest of my physical life. I look forward to the day we see each other again. May WIPocalypse check-in and a Giveaway

Well, it’s almost here! I am almost 40!! Why do I sound so happy about it you might be wondering. Most people get to this age and act as though their world is coming to an end. I choose to look at it in a positive way: I am STILL ALIVE!!! I know HE has a plan for me and my life. I am thankful everyday that I wake up. I am also thankful for my stitchy friends here in bloggy-land. Just because we don’t know one another on a personal level doesn’t mean we don’t know one another, right?!
