...and you think I would have taken advantage of the 2 days I took off and do nothing but stitching! Nope!! I got maybe 3 hours in the whole weekend. I will share pics later. This past weekend was my SAL with Lana over at A Joyful Stitcher. Again, I will post pics later as I haven't taken any yet. I do have to admit it will probably take me the better part of this year on working on this SAL to complete all of the detail work. While I am loving "Coming Home for the Holidays", I will be so glad when it is done. I would really like to start another big Christmas piece, but I refuse to until this one is done. Also, I put my photography skills to use once again at church. I mentioned in a prior post that we are celebrating Pastor's Appreciation month this month. I am thankful to have found a wonderful Church home/family at New River Church. However, I do believe we should celebrate and show our appreciation every chance we get for our Pastor's. I have to rant a little tonight! I have been keeping up with news online over the past few months and there is one thing that keeps popping up: "Stand Your Ground". In concept, I think this is a wonderful law we have here in Florida. However, I am so disgusted with how much it has been tossed around like candy the past couple of years. You all know the story: young male walking home from the corner store, not bothering anyone; "neighborhood watch" punk feels threatened and bang! Young kid is dead. We all have our opinions on this, and please don't air them on here. Just continue to read my rant... Stand Your Ground is the defense. Person who killed is acquitted. He feels a sense of "I can do anything and get away with it". Gets into trouble several more times and NOW has the nerve to say HE is the victim. I know I have been away for a little while. It's been a busy couple of weeks. I have managed to get some stitching in and am here to post my WIPocalypse progress. But first, a little bit about my stitching habits. This month's question is How many projects do you generally feel comfortable having in progress at a time? Tell us about your one-at-a-time or rotation habits. Well, I have had up to 20 projects going at one time. Let me explain this. A few years back (2011) I joined a Crazy Challenge SAL where we started a new project each day for the first 15 days of the year. In addition to those projects, I had a few others going. I liked that each day of the first 15 each month was devoted to one project. That gave me the rest of the month to work on others. You'd have to go back through my archives to see the progression each month. So, I guess the best answer is I am comfortable having a selection to choose from and rotate on a regular basis. Sorry I've been away for so long! I've been so busy with work and church. This past weekend we had our Annual Kick Up Your Heels event at the local Lions Club. It's a fundraising event for our new sanctuary building. This was my first time going and I put my camera into overtime!
