Quick post

I have a few things to share with you when I am feeling up to it. I have been sick for the better part of a week now (no sympathy needed, thanks). I just wanted to touch base with my readers to let you know that I am here and will make a proper post in a few days.

Hi Julie, here's to health and being able to stitch your way better. As for all of those tacks...When I stitch a solid piece such as the Loon Serenade I always wash it and then block it that way so when it comes time to stretch it onto the board it is nice and square. Not sure how I will finish this one off as it is so very dark but you just never know. I will post it when it is finished and on a wall.

Your work is wonderful, and inspiring. Keep it up.

Thanks everyone! I will be making another post shortly. I have a few pictures to take of the smalls I have been stitching. I may just save the post for Sunday so I can show the finished-finishes!

Cirque des Carreaux update…

Well, I finally picked this piece back up the other day and have put quite a few stitches into it. Here is a picture of where I left it when last it was seen: And here is what it looks like today: I am about halfway through page 1. I switched back to the hoop as it is easier to handle, even though there is a lot of excess, soon-to-be stitched, fabric hanging over it.

Va-rooom, va-rooooom!

The '68 Charger takes the lead! The original picture I am so very happy to say that this piece is finally done!!! I put the final stitches in it this evening. Here are some pics: Completed product - "Auto Focus" setting "Pinhole" Setting - this is showing the colors closer to what they really are. "Pop Art"  setting - just wanted to give you a vivid look! Notice the front end of the car. I personalized the license plate with my Uncle's name. Now, it's got to be sent to my mother so she can get it framed and deliver it to her brother on time for his birthday. I really hope he likes it! Now, I think I will either work on the Christmas Design SAL a bit, or prepare the fabric and begin the Ink Circles Cirque des Carreaux . Hmmmmm.......
