TUSAL Update and some mail

Today I received a parcel from Olga. It was my winnings from her recent giveaway.

In stitchy news…


I have done a wee bit of stitching the past week or so. With that said, I have TUSAL update finally! Here is a picture of my ort container:

I have seen some people already using their discarded floss in various little stitching projects that are simply gorgeous! I am still leaning toward making ornaments (clear glass/acrylic ball-type with orts inside) for my future Christmas trees. But after seeing some of the other projects, I may use the longer bits on smalls as well.

Your ort container is full of such lovely colors. I put some of mine in glass ornaments last Christmas and shared some with the birds in the spring.

Farewell Daddy 3.8.1949 ~ 9.5.2012

Thank you for being my daddy for the last 40 plus years. You were my rock when I needed one. You were my best friend. You are now in our loving Lord’s arms and healed of your pain. Reuniting with long departed loved ones. And Mrs. Beasley too. I will miss the way you play your guitar and sing the songs you enjoy. I will miss our drives together finding new places to see and explore. I will miss you, daddy, the rest of my physical life. I look forward to the day we see each other again. May WIPocalypse check-in and a Giveaway

Well, it’s almost here! I am almost 40!! Why do I sound so happy about it you might be wondering. Most people get to this age and act as though their world is coming to an end. I choose to look at it in a positive way: I am STILL ALIVE!!! I know HE has a plan for me and my life. I am thankful everyday that I wake up. I am also thankful for my stitchy friends here in bloggy-land. Just because we don’t know one another on a personal level doesn’t mean we don’t know one another, right?!
