No TUSAL update for me...

I have not done any stitching to speak of in the past month and therefore I don't have any update for my TUSAL container. I am working on a giveaway piece (Sylvia, it will be mailed very soon!). Other than that, my stitching is taking a backseat to my Thesis writing. I have a bit more to go and really don't want to get too sidetracked from it at this point. 

I did manage to visit a new-to-me stitchy store yesterday. My dad and I went to visit his aunt and uncle in Leesburg (FL). They are not too far down the road from Mt. Dora, so we stopped over at A Stitcher's Dream. It is a smaller store, fairly new compared to others I have been in, but lots of goodies to choose from. I picked up a few items:

Holi-versary Giveaway!

Farewell Daddy 3.8.1949 ~ 9.5.2012

Thank you for being my daddy for the last 40 plus years. You were my rock when I needed one. You were my best friend. You are now in our loving Lord’s arms and healed of your pain. Reuniting with long departed loved ones. And Mrs. Beasley too. I will miss the way you play your guitar and sing the songs you enjoy. I will miss our drives together finding new places to see and explore. I will miss you, daddy, the rest of my physical life. I look forward to the day we see each other again. May WIPocalypse check-in and a Giveaway

Well, it’s almost here! I am almost 40!! Why do I sound so happy about it you might be wondering. Most people get to this age and act as though their world is coming to an end. I choose to look at it in a positive way: I am STILL ALIVE!!! I know HE has a plan for me and my life. I am thankful everyday that I wake up. I am also thankful for my stitchy friends here in bloggy-land. Just because we don’t know one another on a personal level doesn’t mean we don’t know one another, right?!
