to let you all know that I will be posting a proper update on the Crazy Challenge later tonight as well as pics of my newest little niece (well, grand-niece).
On October 1, 2008 I decided to jump on the blog bandwagon! I really didn’t think it would last this long. Nor did I think I would make friends through this avenue. But it has and I did! I have been busy trying to settle into my new life as an independent woman and missed my blogoversary this year. For those of you who don’t know, my father passed away in September after a battle with cancer. Thus gaining my “independence”. Anyhoo… The holidays are here and I thought I would have a little giveaway to celebrate the season and my 4 years as a blogger! No hoops to jump through here! Just leave a comment on this post. Here are some of the goodies I plan to include: a holiday stitched piece by me a holiday related scissors fob something to keep you warm during the cold winter months and something else to be decided So there you have it! This giveaway is open to all of my followers, old and new. Your last day to enter will be Sunday, December 9th at 5pm EST . I am putting a time on ...
Thank you for being my daddy for the last 40 plus years. You were my rock when I needed one. You were my best friend. You are now in our loving Lord’s arms and healed of your pain. Reuniting with long departed loved ones. And Mrs. Beasley too. I will miss the way you play your guitar and sing the songs you enjoy. I will miss our drives together finding new places to see and explore. I will miss you, daddy, the rest of my physical life. I look forward to the day we see each other again. Look for me running to you; into your arms. Michael Shawn Hayes March 8, 1949 to September 5, 2012 63 years young

I choose to look at it in a positive way: I am STILL ALIVE!!! I know HE has a plan for me and my life. I am thankful everyday that I wake up. I am also thankful for my stitchy friends here in bloggy-land. Just because we don’t know one another on a personal level doesn’t mean we don’t know one another, right?! So, I am going to celebrate my birthday with you all. I am going to do a giveaway. Yup! I will call it “My 40th Year Giveaway”. What will be included in this giveaway you might ask? Well, stay tuned! I plan to reveal that a little later on, but first here is my check-in post for WIPocalypse: I put a few stitches into Coming Home for the Holidays (my SAL with Joy ): I plan to work a little more on it this evening. I also put some more into Cancer Ribbon Awareness by Ink Circles: I think I am going ...
