Crazy Day 1-3 Update

Well, I spent the past couple days working on Abraham Lincoln. Here is P4025083where I left off on Friday evening:

 

 

 

 

I spent much of yesterday and today working on it while at the hospital. Here is where it stands today:

You can see the roof is starting to take form. After this I still have the trees to stitch, finish the bottoms of the house and bushes, the lawn and the lettering. I would say it’s about halfway finished. With any luck, I will complete it next month or June.

 

Next up is Cream for Kitty. I will work on that piece for a bit this evening and tomorrow.

Coming Home is an awesome piece, Jules. Sorry to hear about your dad; I've been out of touch a bit and just read about the situation on your blog. Hope his condition is treatable! That Bee Happy is very cute! I'll have to check out her patterns.

Farewell Daddy 3.8.1949 ~ 9.5.2012

Thank you for being my daddy for the last 40 plus years. You were my rock when I needed one. You were my best friend. You are now in our loving Lord’s arms and healed of your pain. Reuniting with long departed loved ones. And Mrs. Beasley too. I will miss the way you play your guitar and sing the songs you enjoy. I will miss our drives together finding new places to see and explore. I will miss you, daddy, the rest of my physical life. I look forward to the day we see each other again. May WIPocalypse check-in and a Giveaway

Well, it’s almost here! I am almost 40!! Why do I sound so happy about it you might be wondering. Most people get to this age and act as though their world is coming to an end. I choose to look at it in a positive way: I am STILL ALIVE!!! I know HE has a plan for me and my life. I am thankful everyday that I wake up.
