A little late ~ Tuesday's Show & Tail

I debated over posting this today and decided what the heck!

As some of you may (or may not) know, my Sandy decided to disappear little more than a week ago on a Thursday evening. By Sunday evening, I decided that I was getting a kitten from my grandma's (she has sooo many right now, lol) and put my foot down to my dad. So, Monday, a friend of mine and I went up to granny's and I picked up a kitten. Wouldn't you know it, Tuesday morning, as I was pulling into the carport after an appointment, there was SANDY wanting inside! LOL...No, my dad hasn't made me take the kitten back, and YES, Sandy is adjusting quite well (after a couple days of hissing) to the newest member of the family. She has been mothering him and playing with him. It's wonderful!

It's My Turn!!!

Edited Date to keep on top! Well, I have completed my list of what I want to stitch from my books and magazines and found that there are four (4) magazines that I have no reason to keep. So, for my very first ever giveaway, I am offering to you, my readers, a chance to win one of these fine magazines: The World of Cross Stitching (Jan 2005 - also includes a pullout Giant Mr. Men chart of the Alphabet), Cross Stitch Crazy (Feb 2005), Sampler & Antique Needlework (Spring 2009), and JCS (Mar/Apr 2009 - a duplicate that I received after purchasing a copy in the store). Memorial Day~~~Giveaway

 Well, I promised another giveaway, something of the patriotic sort, and decided that Memorial Day would be the date! Now for the giveaway part: it will be a SURPRISE!!!  :D To start things off, I want to pay tribute to the veterans and currently serving members of our Armed Forces: Army, Navy, Air Force (formerly Army Air Corps), Marines, and Coast Guard. Yes, the Coast Guard is part of our defense system and even served during WWII in an active capacity. I visited one such ship in Key West last summer. ***** What is a Vet? Some Veterans bear visible signs of their service: a missing limb, a jagged scar, a certain look in the eye.
