Try to Relax

Almost complete! I finally finished the cross stitches. Now I have to finish the detail stitches (i.e. back and stem stitches). Here is where things stand:

I plan to fill in the detail this evening. Not sure what I will work on next. Maybe I will finish up Washington’s Monument.

May WIPocalypse check-in and a Giveaway

Well, it’s almost here! I am almost 40!! Why do I sound so happy about it you might be wondering. Most people get to this age and act as though their world is coming to an end. I choose to look at it in a positive way: I am STILL ALIVE!!! I know HE has a plan for me and my life. I am thankful everyday that I wake up. I am also thankful for my stitchy friends here in bloggy-land. Just because we don’t know one another on a personal level doesn’t mean we don’t know one another, right?! Holi-versary Giveaway!

On October 1, 2008 I decided to jump on the blog bandwagon! I really didn’t think it would last this long. Nor did I think I would make friends through this avenue. But it has and I did! I have been busy trying to settle into my new life as an independent woman and missed my blogoversary this year.
