A Ribbon of a Finish

I spent yesterday afternoon finishing Cancer Awareness Ribbons by Ink Circles. Here is the final product:

I stitched this piece on 18ct Oatmeal Fiddler’s Cloth Aida using DMC 820, 3841, 121 and 67 (the last 2 are variegated).

I opted against the backstitching I talked about in my previous post. Now to decide if it will become an ornament or a pillow.

Farewell Daddy 3.8.1949 ~ 9.5.2012

Thank you for being my daddy for the last 40 plus years. You were my rock when I needed one. You were my best friend. You are now in our loving Lord’s arms and healed of your pain. Reuniting with long departed loved ones. And Mrs. Beasley too. I will miss the way you play your guitar and sing the songs you enjoy. I will miss our drives together finding new places to see and explore. I will miss you, daddy, the rest of my physical life. I look forward to the day we see each other again. May WIPocalypse check-in and a Giveaway

Well, it’s almost here! I am almost 40!! Why do I sound so happy about it you might be wondering. Most people get to this age and act as though their world is coming to an end. I choose to look at it in a positive way: I am STILL ALIVE!!! I know HE has a plan for me and my life. I am thankful everyday that I wake up.
