Peace, Love, Joy, Happiness

Aren't you tired of all of the hate in the nation? I sure am. I just want to feel peace, love, joy, and happiness again. When neighbors were friendly with one another. I saw this on Facebook yesterday and did it ever hit home:

Do you feel this way too? Life was so much simpler then; even though it was the 1970s and 1980s for me. But hey, I was a kid. 

As a Christian, I strive for this
As a human, I get so absorbed by the news that I become angry and saddened by what's happening in the nation. 

I just want peace, joy, love, and happiness again.

Holi-versary Giveaway!

It's My Turn!!!

Edited Date to keep on top! Well, I have completed my list of what I want to stitch from my books and magazines and found that there are four (4) magazines that I have no reason to keep. So, for my very first ever giveaway, I am offering to you, my readers, a chance to win one of these fine magazines: The World of Cross Stitching (Jan 2005 - also includes a pullout Giant Mr. Men chart of the Alphabet), Cross Stitch Crazy (Feb 2005), Sampler & Antique Needlework (Spring 2009), and JCS (Mar/Apr 2009 - a duplicate that I received after purchasing a copy in the store). Memorial Day~~~Giveaway

 Well, I promised another giveaway, something of the patriotic sort, and decided that Memorial Day would be the date! Now for the giveaway part: it will be a SURPRISE!!!  :D To start things off, I want to pay tribute to the veterans and currently serving members of our Armed Forces: Army, Navy, Air Force (formerly Army Air Corps), Marines, and Coast Guard. Yes, the Coast Guard is part of our defense system and even served during WWII in an active capacity. I visited one such ship in Key West last summer. ***** What is a Vet? Some Veterans bear visible signs of their service: a missing limb, a jagged scar, a certain look in the eye.
