I received a postcard from Carol in Wisconsin today! It was in an envelope, which struck me a bit curious, but only a tad. When I opened it up I was surprised with this:


Isn’t this a lovely postcard?! I really love handmade cards. My mom and niece make them for me for every occasion and I have been using cross-stitch designs to create cards for a few months  now. Here is what she had to say on the reverse (note the creativity flowed to the reverse side of the card):


Thank you so very much for the personalized postcard, Carol! I think this has become my new favorite (so far, lol).

Farewell Daddy 3.8.1949 ~ 9.5.2012

Thank you for being my daddy for the last 40 plus years. You were my rock when I needed one. You were my best friend. You are now in our loving Lord’s arms and healed of your pain. Reuniting with long departed loved ones. And Mrs. Beasley too. I will miss the way you play your guitar and sing the songs you enjoy. I will miss our drives together finding new places to see and explore. I will miss you, daddy, the rest of my physical life. I look forward to the day we see each other again. May WIPocalypse check-in and a Giveaway

Well, it’s almost here! I am almost 40!! Why do I sound so happy about it you might be wondering. Most people get to this age and act as though their world is coming to an end. I choose to look at it in a positive way: I am STILL ALIVE!!! I know HE has a plan for me and my life. I am thankful everyday that I wake up. I am also thankful for my stitchy friends here in bloggy-land. Just because we don’t know one another on a personal level doesn’t mean we don’t know one another, right?!
