Crazy Weekend!

Yup, I worked on Days 5 and 6 over the weekend and made a bit of progress on each. First up is Cream for Kitty:

As you can see, I started working my way back to you babe up to the top and then over to the top of the hair. After all of that really light colored floss, I needed the colorful diversion, LOL!

Today was spent on Mabry Mill:

I have the wheel of the mill nearly complete and decided to add some other color to it as well.

Nice work - I used to cross stitch, but don't anymore. My eyes don't even like thread crochet - it's all too small for me now, but it sure looks lovely when it's done. You do nice work :-)

You sure have done a lot of stitching, Jules. Whenever I feel overwhelmed by my alphabet, I think of your Coming Home piece....boy, that's like a piece of needlework sans canvas! Amazing!

May WIPocalypse check-in and a Giveaway

Well, it’s almost here! I am almost 40!! Why do I sound so happy about it you might be wondering. Most people get to this age and act as though their world is coming to an end. I choose to look at it in a positive way: I am STILL ALIVE!!! I know HE has a plan for me and my life. I am thankful everyday that I wake up. I am also thankful for my stitchy friends here in bloggy-land. Just because we don’t know one another on a personal level doesn’t mean we don’t know one another, right?! Holi-versary Giveaway!

On October 1, 2008 I decided to jump on the blog bandwagon! I really didn’t think it would last this long. Nor did I think I would make friends through this avenue. But it has and I did! I have been busy trying to settle into my new life as an independent woman and missed my blogoversary this year.
