Abu and an update

I will start with the update! I stitched all weekend on Married This Day and can happily say that I am so very near a finish!!!

Here is where I left off last night:

ABU is such a stinker! He gets into everything!!! And I mean EVERYTHING. He has grown accustomed to stealing my socks and taking them off to parts unknown for his pleasure. He thinks he’s a dog because he loves to play with socks, LOL. He’s also been knocking one of my stuffed kitties off the top of my TV at night while I am asleep. It’s now in a “hiding” place by my bed. I know, I know…party pooper!

Well, tonight he decided he wanted to watch the tele with me:

Farewell Daddy 3.8.1949 ~ 9.5.2012

Thank you for being my daddy for the last 40 plus years. You were my rock when I needed one. You were my best friend. You are now in our loving Lord’s arms and healed of your pain. Reuniting with long departed loved ones. And Mrs. Beasley too. I will miss the way you play your guitar and sing the songs you enjoy. I will miss our drives together finding new places to see and explore. I will miss you, daddy, the rest of my physical life. I look forward to the day we see each other again. May WIPocalypse check-in and a Giveaway

Well, it’s almost here! I am almost 40!! Why do I sound so happy about it you might be wondering. Most people get to this age and act as though their world is coming to an end. I choose to look at it in a positive way: I am STILL ALIVE!!! I know HE has a plan for me and my life. I am thankful everyday that I wake up. I am also thankful for my stitchy friends here in bloggy-land. Just because we don’t know one another on a personal level doesn’t mean we don’t know one another, right?!
